Sitting here with Dave Lizzio, guitarist and resident Italian from Nonpoint, they are playing a show tonight here in Little Rock (with Device and Gemini Syndrome) and Dave has been gracious enough to take some time out of his schedule to visit with me.  First of all, I appreciate you taking the time to sit down with me.

Tim Lambesis, frontman of As I Lay Dying was arrested in Oceanside, California for allegedly hiring a hit man to kill his separated wife.

Fox 5 in San Diego posted that he was arrested at a store on Vista Way in Oceanside on the afternoon of May 7 due to allegedly soliciting a hit man to kill his spouse.

Authorities have started their investigation in the case of  the As I lay Dying singer last Thursday (May 2) when they received a tip that the musician was supposedly trying to hire someone to do the murder, deputies stated. Lambesis was detained in the Vista jail for the suspicion of planning to murder.

Rob Zombie returns to the big screen tomorrow with his latest installment of horror, “Lords Of Salem”. Zombie is accompanied by his wife and the films star Sherri Moon Zombie.

The film is based around a team of radio DJs at the local radio station. A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for the female DJ (Heidi) as “a gift from the Lords”. She assumes it’s a rock band on a mission to spread their word. As Heidi and one of the other DJS (Whitey) play the Lords’ record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma. Later, Whitey plays the Lords’ record, dubbing

Last night metal god Ozzy Osbourne took to his Facebook page admitting to “drinking and taking drugs” over the past 18 months. This comes after rumors that he and his wife Sharon had split up. The couple quickly squashed the rumors. Ozzy also states in the post that he is working on getting better and has been sober for the past 44 days.

I came across an interview that Henry Rollins did with Pharrell Williams for the “reservechannel” Youtube page. The interview covers a lot of basic info about who Henry Rollins is. If you’ve never heard him speak, or never heard of him at all, it’s a good introduction. I’ve seen Henry Rollins speak 5 times in the last few years. I’m a big fan.

Always trying to learn from my mistakes, I was determined not to wait months before picking up the latest Sevendust, ”Black Out The Sun”, like I did with another fairly recent release for Testament. Over the past several months, there has been building anticipation as the band’s social media presence provided a steady stream of updates. With frequent in studio and behind the scenes videos posted to their YouTube channel, the occasional song snippet, and commentary from the members about the “heaviness” of the songs, it was definitely generating a buzz among fans. As soon as a release date was set, clocks were synchronized worldwide and the countdown started. That countdown came to an end two weeks ago when Black Out The Sun became available everywhere, and I had to have my copy then!
