Our friends in Nonpoint are back in the studio this week. They’ve armed themselves with a new line up that are ready to bring some Metal to the masses. A few months back they release a taste of what they’ve been working on. If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out below! They also released a video rehearsing with new members and Chicago natives Dave Lizzio , Adam Wolosyzn , and Rasheed Thomas . In the video below check out drummer Robb Rivera sporting our Death Grip US Flag shirt. Robb has been HUGE supporter of Death Grip Clothing . Around the office we like to call him “The Ambassador” of Death Grip. Robb’s road into battle with us, grabbed our flag, and led the charge! We really can’t thank him enough. The band released this statement yesterday about hitting the studio and introducing the new members of the band. I’m really looking forward to this new album! “Florida rockers NONPOINT have entered Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, Illinois with Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, STAIND, MEGADETH) to begin recording their seventh album, due later in the year via the band’s new label home, Razor & Tie. Founding NONPOINT members Elias Soriano (vocals) and Robb Rivera (drums) last year welcomed three new members to the family: Dave Lizzio (guitar), Adam Wolosyzn (bass), and Rasheed Thomas (guitar). All three musicians come from the Chicago-based rock act INN CINEMA. Commented Soriano: “We’re proud to officially announce the new members of NONPOINT. Dave Lizzio, Rasheed Thomas and Adam Woloszyn have been chased by bands in the Chicago area for years and somehow by a stroke of luck and timing, we now have three of the freshest, most talented players on our team. These guys are great players and even better people. “From day one, the new writing process has been full of great ideas and open minds, and now adding Johnny K into the formula has Robb and I very excited. After listening to the demos, Johnny K said, ‘It’s easy to find someone to play guitar for a band. It’s hard to accomplish what you have by finding Dave, Rasheed and Adam, and that’s finding people who can write amazing riffs.’ From that point on I knew: This new lineup and record will be epic in the chronicle of NONPOINT.”

Didn’t think so. We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a Limited Edition St. Valentine’s Day T-Shirt!! We’re only selling this shirt till Wednesday at midnight. When the clock runs out, this design will be “sleep’n with the fish”. Click below to see what we mean. http://deathgripclothing.bigcartel.com/product/death-grip-capone Being a Chicago based company, we take great pride in our history. While some people look at Al Capone as a monster, we look at him as a bit of…well…a role modal. Or at least the legend that we’ve all come to know of him. A little known fact about Capone that people don’t know is that he never pulled a trigger in the St Valentine Day Massacre. Actually, he wasn’t even there. He was giving a statement to a prosecutor in Florida when the hit went down. Capone was also never convicted of the murder. He was imprisoned for 11 yrs for tax evasion. The stiffest sentence given for tax evasion to date. Another little know fact about Capone is that during the great depression, Al owned a number of soup kitchens around the Chicagoland area. Those soup kitchens would feed 100′s of unemployed people everyday. That’s the shit you never hear about though. If you were born and raised in Chicago, there’s a good chance you heard these stories first hand from your grandparents or their friends, which were passed down by their grandparents, that knew someone who worked for Capone’s Chicago “Outfit”.

Death Grip Clothing is proud to announce the endorsement of South-Florida Music scene cover band, Tayzer. “TAYZER” is a group of kids ranging from15 to 21 year of age who seriously understand what Rock-n-Roll is all about. From the music of legends, to their own original sounds, these kids are true to the greatest rock era of all time…the 80’s! Anthony Hamel Age…. 17 DOB: September 7, 1994 Weapon: Lead Vocalist “I was born in Boston, MA. I loved listening to music so whenever I could, I would sing. Once I moved to Port Charlotte, I found myself looking to make my own music. I was influenced by the 80’s era, such bands as Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Guns-n-Roses, Ozzy etc…. I think you get the point. Yes…I love 80’s Rock-N-Roll!” “Soon after I moved to Florida, I went to see Aerosmith in concert. Needless to say, I was totally inspired. I loved Aerosmith and when I saw them live, my dream was set and my mind was made up, I would make music and entertain!! I was looking for a group of guys who felt as strongly about music as I did. This was no easy task. I tried a few different avenues and then I was finally approached by my “New Family”, Jack-Michael & Dalton Kick-Back Rueff. They wanted me to sing in a band they were putting together. I had no idea the talent my new friends had. After only a few practices I was hooked and I knew this was the place for me. We all clicked right from the start. Soon after we were lucky enough to pick up our bass guitarist, David Scheid, my new family had come to life.
Weapon: Bass Guitar

“I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Samson. All we ever really had was music and that was only because some people cared enough to let us listen. I started playing music when I was 12. I learned to play guitar on a First Act. The first thing I ever played was “Seven Nation Army” by White Stripes *JACK WHITE* Fave guitarist. As I got older, I listened to a little more than just modern rock and found that I really enjoy the 80’s sound and feel. When I turned 18, I moved back to my birth place, Port Charlotte, FL. After living here for about a year, I moved back North but that wasn’t for long. I knew I needed to find something, my life was incomplete. So I moved back to Florida again searching for something or someone. To my surprise, I found both! This turned out to be the blessing I have been searching for! This is where I met my beautiful wife Tara and the band I am with today……..my second family…..(Jack-Michael, Dalton Rueff, Anthony Hamel, & me)…….. Tayzer!”

Jack-Michael
Age ……15
DOB: February 14, 1996

Weapon: Electric Guitar

“I grew up in a small town, Punta Gorda, FL. I began my young life like most kids playing sports like football, baseball, soccer, & wrestling. As I got older, I felt like there was something missing inside me. Not knowing what that was, but I was certain it wasn’t sports, I began to search in hopes of finding my true talent inside myself. I have always listened to my dad play acoustic guitar and sing songs, so I asked him to show me some chords. Every morning my dad & I would have a one hour session on the guitar just learning the basics. I just couldn’t get enough. Is this what I have been looking for? I began teaching myself from the computer even more. My dad noticed that I was really progressing and mostly being self- taught and that is when he introduced me to my new and still current guitar teacher, Tommy Skeoch. He is the former lead guitarist of “Tesla”. I progressed really fast says my friends and family and Tommy & I hit it off right from the start. I also found out I could play many other instruments like drums, bass, mandolin, and keyboard. I thought to myself, I have finally found what I have been searching for. Music makes my life complete and I can’t seem to get enough of it.”
“Influenced by the 80’s era, I began writing songs. My best friend, Dalton Kick-Back Rueff and I started to play together and knew instantly…….. This is what we want to do for the rest of our lives….. Make Music! It was difficult to find other talented young musicians that had the same desire and dedication that we had. It took some searching, but that’s when we ran across Anthony Hamel, our lead vocalist, and David Scheid, our bass guitarist hence forming the band known as Tayzer!”

Death Grip Clothing is excited to announce an endorsement deal with the Hard Rock band Allele. You can read their bio below. Bio: Allele was formed in 2002 by Wally Wood and ex-Otep guitarist Lane Maverick (who had also played in earlier projects with members of Shinedown) and later joined by Tim Tobin (bass), Giancarlo Autenzio (drums) and Kelly Hayes, formerly of Cold. After refining their sound and gaining live experience, they were signed by Corporate Punishment Records, an independent record label which had previously been associated with Cold. The band started to work on their debut LP titled Point of Origin, with producer Ben Schigel, who has previously worked with such artists as Chimaira and Bleed the Sky. Allele describes their sound as “hard rock with a new feel” and Point of Origin has been received with a good amount of positive reviews. The band completed a tour with label mates Switched and A New Revolution (featuring ex-Unloco frontman Joey Duenas). Allele has been voted #5 Best Newcomer of 2005 in the Gauntlet’s Year End Poll alongside Through the Eyes of the Dead, Gizamachi, The Jacknife and the Red Death. On June 29, 2006, it was revealed via Allele’s MySpace blog that vocalist Wally Wood had left the group. The explanation given from the remaining members was the following: “Unfortunately when you put 5 people in a van for months at a time, every once in a while, one of them doesn’t get back in”. A fill in singer was immediately announced as the new vocalist and that the band would continue to tour. Allele would spend the rest of the fall touring with 10 Years and Evans Blue. Allele’s track Stitches was featured in trailers and promos for TNT’s Stephen King anthology series, “Nightmares and Dreamscapes”. That song also appears on the 2006 game WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007. On 14 August 2007, it was announced by a close friend of the band that Allele had broken up. This has since been confirmed by the moderator of their website. Little else is known about the current state of its members, although rumors have surfaced about a possible second project featuring at least three of the four remaining members. Frontman Wally Wood of the Jacksonville, Florida-based hard rockers Allele has issued the following update: “I am back. Sorry I have been away a while and glad to hear you all have been still rockin out to the last album Point Of Origin. So here we are in 2008 and you may wonder what is next? I have read a couple of hundred pages of inquiries in our inbox regarding the next step for Allele. Well, first step is, the first show we will play is August 30 at Freebird remix Live in Jacksonville, Florida. After that, we will start recording the next album. We have a lot of work ahead because we want this next album to blow you away. Be patient (like you have been!) but I am telling...

On August 30, 2008 the band played a show in Jacksonville, Florida where they performed songs from their debut album Point of Origin. In May 2011, they tracked the music at A1A studios in Jacksonville, Fl. Wally Wood then flew to Laguna, Ca to then track the vocals with engineer Pete Charell (bassist for Trapt) at Dexter Dog Studios and since are having their sophomore album Next to Parallel, mixed and mastered at MyPlatinumSound by Paul Lapinski (Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Alicia Keys, Evergreen Terrace, Inspection 12, Yellowcard, Indorphine).
Allele plan to release their new studio album “Next to Parallel” on September 27, 2011. The band also stream the new track What I Get in June, 2011. It was a free download for a limited. Also the band start touring in August 2011.
